News — 17 October 2012

Recruitment is about to begin for a number of sports and leisure related roles at a unique sports development due to open in the region in December.

The Sports Domes at Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, will be the first inflatable sports domes in the country and are being created as part of a £7m development.

The company behind the project has announced more than 20 new jobs including assistant sports and leisure management roles, sales advisors, reception, bar and waiting staff plus other customer liaison positions.

Two new stadia will be erected at Tees Road, Seaton Carew, where the largest dome will house six five-a-side football pitches. The second dome is aimed primarily at golfers and will include a putting course, golf simulators, chipping green, indoor driving range and a shop.

The existing Mayfair Centre on the site will be transformed into a gym with membership for 2,000 and will include a sensory room for disabled children.
